The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition warned against the malicious intentions and projects of the Saudi and al-Khalifi entities against the authentic religious presence in Bahrain and the Eastern Province in particular.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, the Political Council called on everyone to remain vigilant about what is being planned in this regard, and on the continuous rhythm of massacres of executions, which is designed to cause bloody trauma in the people’s minds, is an anticipation of profound changes in social identity and beliefs, pointing out that this may take an accelerate pace in the next stage just before the arrival of Muharram and Ashura this year.
According to the Political Council, Saudi and al-Khalifi entities are closely linked as they are implementing one agenda hostile to the country and its interests, and serve imperialist and Zionist policies. There is no hope to be reformed or tamed unless the right to self-determination of the people in the region is guaranteed, which requires the free people to collaborate and escalate the popular and Political movement in order to achieve full freedom and emancipation in the region.
The Political Council added that Saudi and Al Khalifa are holding a meeting on a joint plan to finish off identity and beliefs of citizens, as evidenced by Al Saudi’s recent measures to constrain the upcoming revival of Ashura, which will also be reflected in the pilgrimage season and crack down on innocent marches from participants. Al Khalifa plans to close Imam Sadiq Mosque (PBUH) in Diraz complementing the attack on Friday prayer leaders His Eminence Sheikh ‘’Mohammed Sanqour’’, emphasizing that this requires world religious and international authorities to take a firm action against these plans, which aim to a full-fledged culture genocide of the native people in Bahrain and Qatif who believe in Ahl al-Beit (PBUT).
The Political Council believes that the domination of the Saudi and Al-Khalifi scheme on Friday’s platforms, the domination over religious discourse, the restriction on the revival of Ashura, the restriction of the condolences processions that have been held for centuries, and the obligation of preachers and mourners in lists of prohibitions. In addition, it was accompanied by a change in educational curriculum, the demolition of the family and society system by demolishing their moral system with the blatant support of the United States, the opening of door for Zionists to desecrate the identity and true belonging of the region. All this is to separate the region and its people from their choice of freedom and independence, to keep them away from the Axis of resistance, and to place them under the oppression with the Axis of Zionist-American evil, pointing out that this needs to be more connected with the Al-Quds and Palestinian axis, to increase the resistance to normalization and to confirm the identity of belonging to the authentic Mohammadan Islam, whose great features were laid by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (may his honourable secret be sanctified).
And emphasized that the people of the region will not give up their cultural and religious identity, will continue to resist the entities imposed on them, and will not give up their right to practice religion, revive religion seasons, hold processions, express positions and Husseini slogans, stressing that the Bahraini people and the Qatif people will always be the revolutionaries who resist on the defensive right up front, and will sacrifice for the truth, no matter how much the closure intensified and the gallows increased.
