The Friday Sermon, ‘’His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Al-Sanqour’’, said that what the country needs at the current stage is the frankness that stems from a keen concern for the sustainability of its security and stability.
His Eminence explained in the central Friday prayer sermon at the ‘’Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque (PBUH)’’ in the town of Diraz on Friday, 10 February 2023, that frankness is an explanation that the homeland must be an incubator for all its citizens, and that the state be at the same distance of its various components without discrimination or favour of one component over another, and for the homeland to exceed the effects of the past decade with its totality of events and tragedies by releasing the detainees and returning those who were forced by circumstances to leave the country and those who lost their nationalities, abolishing the so-called political and social isolation and allowing the return of the journalism and freedom of constructive criticism. Noting that this would contribute in spreading the optimism, exceed by the homeland a dark stage, leaves a suitable ground for serious and constructive research for the sake of Home Highness to where everyone aspires.
Sheikh Sanqour added that the country also needed to care of its religion, identity, constants, norms and values, eliminate its concerns, enhance confidence in its citizens and address the living situation such as poverty, taxes, unemployment, low wages, and surplus expatriate employment as necessary.
His Eminence emphasized the need to eliminate corruption in all its forms through transparency in the detection of corruption and its causes, and the codification of mechanisms guaranteeing their full credibility and securing their broad powers, because corruption extends in dark and closed cellars, but when the cellars are lit and open, it recedes and diminishes. If it is done with transparency, it is credible to detect corruption, its causes and its perpetrator, it is not possible to eliminate it without holding the perpetrator and his condemnation, regardless his position, so that those who wish to follow his path can be instructed in his condemnation and it is not possible to eliminate corruption without eliminating its causes and working to remedy its effects and consequences.
