A statement was issued by the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the “martyr fighter Muzahem Al-Shater”, which read as follows:
In the name of Allah
The proud people of Bahrain have presented –without hesitation or retreat- their clear position in support of the cause of Palestine and in defending the sanctities in AL-Quds Al-Sharif. The people’s position has always been decisive, serious and continuous despite the difficult circumstances faced by the citizens of Bahrain, whether in terms of their open battle with the totalitarianism and the tyranny of the Al-Khalifah, or in terms of exposing the British open conspiracy project and the American/Zionist scheme which is anti-people and values of the region. Along these lines, the Bahraini people submitted the tender on Al-Quds path with firm belief, firm conviction and with boundless feelings. From this the blood donation they gave with great generosity and vigor was an expression for their correct vision of the necessity of confronting the interim Zionist entity and its grazing
systems, in the conviction that resistance to the invasion Zionists is a legitimate right in all frontiers and arenas.
Based on this firm position, the commemoration of the fortieth anniversary of the Bahraini resistance fighter “martyr Muzahem Al-Shater”, who was martyred on 21 June 1982 in the Palestinian Resistance ranks during his heroic participation in addressing Zionist invasion at that time of the resistance south Lebanon. And with the events of Palestinian cause, the martyr has become a historical icon that expresses the genuine religious and national attitude that the people of Bahrain committed themselves to for more than 80 years in the support of Palestine and the defense of Al-Quds Al-Sharif before and after the Zionist occupation in 1948 AD until recently. Hence, the commemoration of the fortieth anniversary
of the martyr comes under the slogan “Resistance Fighter on the Path to Al-Quds” confirming the following headlines and positions:
- The treacherous projects of normalization taken by the region’s regimes- among them the Al-Khalifah regime- are projects of shame and disgrace that will pursue these puppet regimes until their inevitable fall. These regimes have proved with this black position that they don’t belong to the peoples of the region that will continue to adhere to their firm rejection and legitimate resistance to the criminal Zionist entity, including resisting all projects of normalization and disgrace agreements concluded with it, because these projects represent a complete and comprehensive threat to the existence of peoples, their cultures, their religion and their authentic values.
Embracing the choice of resistance and adhering to its honorable pivot is not just a purely emotional or ideological attitude, but it is also a noble humanitarian attitude that expresses bias towards the truth, support the oppressed, stand strong in the face of injustice and criminality, and not hesitate to provide aid and support to the fair movements that resist the destructive and dignified projects. The enrolment of the people of Bahrain to this choice and pivot was clear since the beginnings of the Zionist danger, as embodied by the martyr “Muzahem Al-Shatar” when he joined the Palestinian resistance in the year 1978 AD, and participated in confronting the Zionist project, until he has martyred as a champion of the resistance in southern Lebanon
- with the honorable weapon which proof the right choice and the right pivot that promised a decisive victory.
- Supporting Palestine and Al-Quds and resisting the Zionist entity are inseparable from the defense of peoples’ rights and resisting the oppression and the dictatorial rule that these peoples suffer, as there is no trade-off between Jihad and resistance for Palestine and Al-Quds, struggle and fighting in the path of freedom and justice, especially in confronting the normalization governments with the Zionist entity. Hence, we renew the call for the establishment of effective coordination in order to support the struggle and resistance front in Bahrain and Palestine, on the basis of the correlation between freedom from occupation and the struggle for liberty, and based
- on the common fundamentals denominators that have come to unite the two struggling peoples in Bahrain and occupied Palestine.
We, in the February 14 Revolution youth coalition, stress –with confidence and reassurance- that Bahrain, with its sons and daughters, with its elders, youths and young people and with its Sunnis and Shias’ citizens, it will be at the level of its faith, values, history, struggle and resistance, and will not allow the Zionists to have a decision or existence on the pure land of Al-Awal which is full of faith, Jihad (struggle) and great sacrifice.
We also call on our loyal people to widely participate in the events of the fortieth anniversary of the resistance fighter the martyr “Muzahem Al-Shater”, to renew their resistance to all forms of existence and normalization with Zionists, and to confirm that Bahrain will not calm down until the normalization agreements are dropped and the ambassador of the Zionist enemy is expelled from Manama, and cleansing the country of all the desecration and shame that has befallen it since the announcement of the betrayal agreement with the interim entity.
