Al-Khalifa regime has decided the extension of custody of Al-Khatib al-Husseini “Preacher” Sheikh Abdul Zahra al-Samahiji, for 15 days pending investigation.
Sheikh Abdul Zahra al-Samahiji was arrested on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, on a sectarian charge.
The Police Department of Manama stated that ” the Sheikh was summoned without naming him after he made a speech in religious occasion that included legal violations”, where it referred his case to the Attorney General, with 7 days’ detention on remand, based on charges of “publicly assaulting the sahaba, provoking sedition, encouraging extremism, threatening civil peace and social fabric.”
