The prisoner of opinion Mohsen Badao said that “scabies and skin allergies have become like a fire that shatters the bodies of prisoners inside the Central Joe Prison, and every day the numbers increase despite the isolation of the injured.”
Human rights sources quoted “Baddo” as saying that “he has been infected with scabies for 6 months, and the disease spread throughout his entire body, which caused him to be significantly disfigured, and is worried that it will reach his face and eye, as all treatments do not benefit under the current circumstances” .
He added that “he and the other prisoners are demanding the elimination of the insect, change the mattresses and clothing, ventilation of the place, easing overcrowding in cells, providing prisoners with appropriate treatment, and stopping the prison administration’s policy of procrastination against these demands.”
The prisoner of opinion Ayoub Adel, for his part, said that “he is suffering a severe pain, and he was not taken to the prison clinic, and no one listens to his demands to see the doctor.”
He explained that “the pain has reached his back, that needs a surgery, stressing that there was a health neglect in prison, and he could barely walk on his feet.”
He demanded to get the necessary treatment, especially since his condition worsened day by day and he could not sleep normally.
It is noteworthy that Ayoub Adel, who was injured in the leg, had underwent a surgery for a leg brace that still needs to be followed up. He was arrested on 14 May 2015 and sentenced to life imprisonment for political charges.
