People held individual prayers on Friday, January 3, 2020, in the mosque of Imam al-Sadiq “p” in the town of al-Diraz, as Al-Khalifa regime had prohibited the performance of the largest Friday prayers for the193rdweek respectively.
This comes as part of the war on rites of religion lunched by the regime, at a time it announces the advocacy of religious tolerance in the international forums to cover its rush towards normalization with the Zionist entity.
It is noting that the regime had totally prevented the head of the Secular Islamic Council Sayed Majid Masheal from leading prayers in the mosque of Imam al-Sadiq in al-Diraz region, forcing him to sign a written pledge not to deliver speeches or religious sermons.
His Eminence Sayed Majid was informed with this decision, which targets the religious scholars as part of the sectarian approach followed by the regime, during his interrogation in Hamad town police station on Friday, June 7, 2019. The regime alleged that there is a ban by the so-called “Department of Jaafari Endowment” , as well as another ban by the Ministry of Interior.
