The prisoner of opinion Zakiya Al-Barbori said that her imprisonment is a grant and not a plight, extending her gratitude for people and relatives who supported her.
In a letter on Sunday, December 29, 2019, on the occasion of her birthday, she said ” Well, the way I see it, the prison is a grant and not a plight, and I had to extend my thanks and keep on praying for my people , although the reality is sometimes painful”.
Al-Barbori gave thanks for the people and relatives, praising their fixed stands, and expressing gratitude for all what they did for her.
It is noteworthy that Al-Barbori – from Newidrart town , was arrested at dawn on Thursday, May 2018 during a raid on her home , where she forcibly hidden for about 3 weeks.
The illegal courts of Al-Khalifa regime sentenced her to 5 years in prisons with the revocation of her nationality based on political charges.
Al-Barbori is the second female prisoner of opinion that still in prison , along with the other prisoner Hajer Mansour . The prison administration had punished her a few days ago, for her demand to be moved to Mansour’s cell, as it deprived her of contacting the family.
