On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, Al-Khalifa regime decided to move the prisoner of conscience H.E Sheikh Zuhair Ashour from isolation to solitary confinement without knowing the reasons, as reported by the prisoners of conscience Issa Hassan Fardan in a phone call.
The Sheikh was exposed to a severe harassment by the regime, where he was previously held in the convicts’ building No.2 in the Center Prison of Joe on a criminal charge, and then placed in an isolation ward on Thursday, November 7, 2019, as an additional punishment.
Al-Khalifa’s courts, that lack legitimacy, issued a life imprisonment verdict on His Eminence in November 10, 2013 against the backdrop of the fabricated case “Al- Riffa bombing”, where he was arrested in June 13, 2019.
The Sheik’s destiny is still unknown , as the authorities often transfer him to solitary confinement because of his advocacy for the legitimate rights of prisoners, and his religious and moral sermons in prison.
