The fathers of martyrs, men of steadfastness and a number of activists visited on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 the family of the detainee Mujahid Professor Abdul Wahab Hussein; affirming their solidarity with him and with all prisoners of conscience in Al-Khalifa prisons.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Abdul Wahab is one of the 13 opposition leaders in Bahrain, who had an influential role in the revolution of February 14, giving a momentum and spark that burned Al-Khalifa family members and threatened their thrones. The regime arrested them by March 17, 2011 and April 9, 2011, where they were subjected to the worst kinds of torture.
In June 22, 2011 a military court sentenced 7 leaders to life imprisonment: Mr. Hassan Mushaima, Mr. Abdul Wahab Hussein, Dean of Jurists Abdul Hadi al-Khawaja, Dr. Abdul Jalil Singace, Sheikh Mohammad Habib al-Miqdad, Sheikh Abdul Jalil al-Mekdad, Sheikh Saeed Mirza Nouri, and sentenced to 15 years in prison each of: Mr. Ali Reza Ismail, activist Mohammed Hassan Jawad Pervez, and Sheikh Abdullah Al Mahrous, Sheikh Abdul Hadi Abdullah Hassan Al Moghador , and 5 years on the activist Ibrahim Sharif; activist Salah al-Khawaja , on charges of “formation of terrorist groups” that seek to overthrow the regime and change the constitutio.
But in September 4, 2012 the Court of Appeal upheld these unfair judgments in a session, which was not attended by those leaders for not already acknowledging the legitimacy of these trials.
