Al-Khalifa regime has turned Bahrain into a police state, as international organizations have documented more than 1000 different cases of degrading treatment involving more than 3,000 cases of violation of the rights attributed to the units of Interior Ministry since 2011 to this day.
This came in the periodic report by the “Organization of Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain” in the third of last April, entitled “the internal structure of the police state: the Ministry of Interior in Bahrain, the brutal systematic suppression”, which deals with the role of Al-Khalifa Ministry of Interior in the suppression of the opposition in the country.
The report showed that this level of repression in Bahrain is not possible without the ongoing support of the United States, including the huge amounts of money to finance security assistance.
These violations included arbitrary detention, torture, assault and extrajudicial killings.
The report concluded that the Ministry of Interior has exercised different types of brutality, repression and impunity, noting that this type of violations were implemented by the same units.
