The mother of the opinion detainee, Hussein Mohamed al-Mutawa, called on Al-Khalifa regime to allow her to visit him in prison. Al- Mutawa was detained in Dry Dock prison, in the criminals section.
She said that “the last visit to her son Hussein al-Mutawa was a year ago, and he was not in a good state inside the prison, as he was permanently transferred to solitary confinement” .
She explained that Hussein had been deprived of education because of the arrest and had been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on political grounds, two of which had been spent. The mother stated that Hussein suffered severe neck pain as a result of the torture he had subjected during the investigation, demanding allow him to see his family during the prison’s visit his family and to join him with the alternative penalties program.
