3 weeks ago, prisoners of conscience in Joe Prison and Dry Dock remain on hunger strike despite their poor conditions and deteriorating health.
Human rights reports said that despite the release of the detainees, Sadiq al-Ghasra, Salah Saeed Saleh and Mohammed Juma, from solitary confinement, the rest of the detainees were unable to communicate with their families. Furthermore, the regime threatened to seal off the mosque in Building 14, in spite of all the violations suffered by the striking detainees.
In addition, the families of the detainees in Building 12 complained of lack of communication, as they were denied contact and visit, as well as deliberately neglecting the necessary medical follow-up of the strikers who have serious health symptoms.
