The February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition called for a mass participation in the activities of the “Bahrain’s Prisoner Day”, in solidarity with the prisoners of conscience in Al-Khalifa prisons.
In the same context, the Coalition launched a media campaign on its social media pages, which was filled with revolutionary slogans and pictures of prisoners who were imprisoned in the prisons on political grounds.
It is noteworthy that the people of Bahrain marks the prisoner’s day on 24 July each year, adhering to the right of political prisoners to freedom.
Additionally, the prisons of al-Khalifa regime have more than 4000 prisoners of conscience imprisoned and tried in courts lacking legitimacy on political and malicious accusations, as the provisions of some of them have reached to death penalty and life imprisonment with the revocation of nationality , while most of confessions extracted under torture.
