The National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) claimed that it had recently visited the central prison of Joe to monitor the human rights situation there, claiming that it had met with some detainees and observed their conditions and living standards.
This allegation comes as the families of the prisoners of conscience increasingly complain about the failure of this pro-regime institution to respond to their demands and the suffering of their sons, although they have been complained dozens of times.
Many human rights organizations describe the National Institution as a pro-regime, mainly in misleading the public opinion about the absence of violations or any acts of repression against detainees.
