According to human rights sources, the detainee Ali Habib al-Shahrkani demanded to be released from his solitary confinement since April 3, without explaining the reasons. He stated that he did not complain of any diseases before his arrest, and after the execution of the sentence, he was transferred to solitary confinement without examination.
The sources added that he was transferred to a dirty cell, and its smell is disgusting without sanitary tools, and there were many insects walking on his body during sleep.
The family had expressed concern after being transferred to solitary confinement on the grounds that he was infected with a contagious disease. He confirmed that he was subjected to psychological and physical torture and that his hands were always tied to the bed.
It is noting that Ali al-Shahrkani was arrested in the bloody attack on May 23 during al-Daraz protest and was transferred to solitary confinement after a hunger strike to protest on the ill-treatment, ongoing harassment and denial of treatment.
