Statement Issued by the Bahrain Operations Room (15):
Repeated failure of the “Patriot” system and the third Sitra incident require the Al Khalifa regime to completely sever ties with the American military presence
The “Bahrain Operations Room” has monitored the occurrence of a third incident of its kind in the Sitra area (Wadian) on the morning of Wednesday, April 8, at approximately 8:00 AM, where fragments of a Patriot interceptor missile fell on at least two houses, causing material damage and a limited fire (less severe than the previous two incidents).
Once again, the reality of the catastrophic failure of air defense systems operated by American soldiers becomes evident. The Al Khalifa regime insists on deploying these systems within densely populated residential neighborhoods, effectively using citizens as human shields for failed interception operations.
Field data, including testimonies from residents and inhabitants of the area (all of whom confirmed they did not hear any sound of drones in the air before or during the explosion), decisively refute the narrative of the Ministry of Interior, which routinely covers up military failure by blaming Iran. Images circulated from inside the affected homes clearly show that an interceptor fragment penetrated the walls, not a warhead from a drone. The limited nature of the damage (compared to injuries in previous incidents) confirms that the source was interceptor missile debris, not a direct attack.
In a stark contradiction, the Ministry of Interior initially announced that two children were injured, then later denied any injuries in a second statement. This inconsistency reveals the state of confusion within the security agencies and their inability to present a coherent account amid repeated failures.
The recurrence of these incidents for the third time within one month conclusively confirms the existence of a dangerous technical and tactical flaw in the interception process of the Patriot system, or a deliberate decision to fire over densely populated residential areas without regard for civilian safety.
Accordingly, the “Bahrain Operations Room” demands that the Al Khalifa regime:
First: Immediately and clearly acknowledge its full responsibility for this third incident and cease the policy of misinformation and baseless accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran, after field evidence and testimonies have proven that what occurred was a purely local interception failure.
Second: Immediately and completely relocate all air defense systems (Patriot and others) outside residential neighborhoods and populated areas. It is unacceptable for citizens to pay the price of repeated military failure with their lives and homes.
Third: Completely sever ties with the American military presence on Bahraini soil. As long as these American systems operate within residential areas, and Bahrain remains a platform for aggression against Iran, the lives, property, and livelihoods of Bahraini citizens will remain hostage to this ominous presence.
The “Bahrain Operations Room” affirms that it will continue its field monitoring of every detail and holds the Al Khalifa regime fully responsible for the current situation in Bahrain due to its aggressive and misguided policies, most recently its failed and scandalous call to use military force to open the Strait of Hormuz.
