Statement Issed by the Bahrain Operations Room (13)
King Fahd Causeway
The “King Fahd” Causeway has been transformed into an American military platform and has entered the scope of vital bridges within the map of reciprocal targeting.
The Bahrain Operations Room reaffirms that the Martyr al-Nimr Bridge (formerly known as the King Fahd Causeway) has now become part of the list of legitimate targets for the Islamic Republic, after it monitored intensive and continuous use by American soldiers for purely military purposes, including the transport of equipment, personnel, and vehicles between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
The conversion of this vital facility—considered Bahrain’s only land outlet—into a U.S. military logistical artery serving aggression against the Islamic Republic constitutes a blatant violation of its civilian and commercial nature. Furthermore, the statement issued today by U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he boasted about using American military bases in the Gulf to target the Karaj Bridge in Iran, indicates that vital bridges in the region have become subject to reciprocal targeting.
This reckless statement reveals that the American side sets no red lines and that any bridge used for military purposes will be treated as a strategic target.
Accordingly, we once again warn citizens and residents in Bahrain and the Gulf in general against using the King Fahd Causeway during this critical phase, and we call on them to avoid crossing it under any circumstances in order to preserve their safety.
We affirm that the Al Khalifa regime, by accepting the transformation of Bahrain into a platform for launching aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and by enabling American forces to use its land, waters, airspace, and vital outlets to carry out their attacks, is dragging the country and its people toward further destruction. These complicit policies are what make Bahrain a battlefield and the causeway a legitimate target.
The Al Khalifa regime should follow the example of the Sultanate of Oman, which has spared its land and citizens from engaging in a war that is not theirs, and should work to keep Bahrain from becoming a platform for aggression against a neighboring country.
