The Women’s Committee of the February 14 Coalition Holds the 11th Ashura Forum under the Title “Faith and Dignity”
The Women’s Committee of the February 14 Youth Coalition held its 11th annual Ashura forum as part of the Ashura activities, under the theme “Faith and Dignity.”
The forum opened with a blessed recitation from the Quran, followed by various segments inspired by the occasion, including a special segment about Al-Qasim ibn Al-Hassan (peace be upon him), the martyrs of Bahrain, and participation from the women of Sitra and Duraz. The event also featured speeches on awareness and steadfastness by Islamic researcher Umm Kulthum Al-Sablani and Lebanese preacher Hajjah Fatima Hassoun.
A photo exhibition was organized alongside the forum, showcasing images of Sheikh Isa Qassim, revolutionary leaders, political prisoners, and martyrs of the revolution.
The women of Duraz emphasized that Ashura is an opportunity to draw lessons of dignity from the blood of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the cry of Zainab (peace be upon her). They affirmed that women have been an essential pillar in the Ashura revival project through their presence, service, resilience, and stances, and they continue to be so.
They stressed that Bahraini women have carried the banner of awareness and resistance from Ashura gatherings to every field of confrontation, just as Zainab bint Ali carried the banner of Karbala from the land of Tuf to the thrones of the oppressors.
They added that Ashura is not a mere commemoration, but a moment of mobilization and reaffirmation of the path. It is an opportunity to link the issues of the nation to the spirit of Karbala. Hence, the women of Bahrain declared their full solidarity with the steadfast people of Gaza, who are being massacred as Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and his children were, condemning the ongoing Zionist aggression and denouncing all forms of normalization and betrayal.
The women of Duraz also expressed their support for the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has been a stronghold for the resistance project, a pillar for all free people, and a banner of dignity for the nation in the face of arrogance and occupation.
From the capital of the revolution, Sitra, the land of noble sacrifices and honorable stances, the women affirmed that loyalty to Hussein (peace be upon him) is not just a slogan but is embodied in actions, commitment, and practical stances.
They highlighted the example of Zainab (peace be upon her), who joined Hussein (peace be upon him) not in adornment or displaying beauty, but as the perfect model of a devout, chaste, and patient woman, who lived the ideology, spirit, and revolution with Hussein (peace be upon him). They stressed that modesty in Ashura gatherings, processions, and participations is not just an appearance, but an expression of true loyalty and a living translation of the saying, “We are on the path of Zainab.”
The women of Sitra called for a firm adherence to the true Zainabi path—both in words and actions, in dress and conduct, and in patience and steadfastness at every Ashura event.
They also paid tribute to the mothers of martyrs, prisoners, detainees, and exiled individuals far from their homeland, acknowledging them as true partners in the project of sacrifice and revolution.
The forum concluded with a speech from the Women’s Committee of the February 14 Coalition, which confirmed that the people of Bahrain will remain in the trenches of confrontation, as dictated by their religious, moral, and ethical responsibilities. They will continue to offer sacrifices in support of their brothers in the resistance axis, through prayers, supportive stances, advocating words, and solidarity demonstrations.
