The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition issued
the weekly position, which reads as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
As the month of February, the month of revolution, approaches and the
14th anniversary of the steadfast revolution in Bahrain draws near—amid
the significant changes the region is witnessing—we reaffirm the
authenticity of the national goals from which Bahrain’s Pearl Revolution
was launched. This revolution expressed a decisive rejection of both
servitude and dependency, setting it apart from the 2011 uprisings known
as the Arab Spring. Bahrain’s revolution succeeded in distancing itself from
foreign wagers and dependencies that infiltrated the Arab region at the
time. Our people chose to preserve their national authenticity and avoid
aligning with the agendas of global arrogance.
As a result, the people have endured systematic distortions, counter-
revolutions, and acts of oppression and persecution targeting both them
and their revolution. This has only strengthened their unwavering
commitment—through all their genuine forces and components—to their
long-standing national and revolutionary framework, which has shaped the
history of popular movement over continuous decades. This is grounded in
democratic and liberating principles aimed at ending the tyranny and
corruption the Al Khalifa tribe has entrenched through its mentality of
occupation and plunder that it has applied to the land and its people since
their invasion of Bahrain nearly two and a half centuries ago.
In this context, we highlight the following points in this weekly position:
1- Over the past years, our dear people have demonstrated unparalleled
resilience in the face of the Khalifi tyranny. It can be said that the
February 14 Revolution has been built on three fundamental pillars
that have granted it strength, endurance, and the ability to renew its
vigor. First, it is a revolution rooted in the grounds of popular
movements and the rightful demands of the people, not one imposed
from external forces. Second, the revolutionary people developed
their own tools for protest, public presence, and revolutionary action
across all areas of the country. They fortified their struggle with
limitless sacrifices, including the lives of martyrs, the suffering of
prisoners, the wounds of the injured, and the plight of the exiled, all
while enduring countless forms of harm documented in human rights
reports. The legendary stories of defiance, which continue today
within prisons, against mercenaries, and in the face of killing
machines across Bahrain, serve as a clear testament to the people’s
unwavering will and the grandeur of the revolution. This will once
again be evident this year as our people prepare to commemorate
the glorious anniversary of the revolution, renewing their pledge to
the martyrs, the injured, the prisoners, and the captive leaders to
continue the path toward freedom and liberation.
2- As we approach February, the month of revolution, we reaffirm the
fundamental principles of the political project upheld by Bahrain’s
opposition forces. The central theme of this project is a
comprehensive political solution, based on the establishment of a just
and fully sovereign state through an advanced constitution drafted by
the true representatives of the people. This constitution must meet
the aspirations of the people in managing their nation’s affairs,
completing the country’s independence, and achieving transitional
justice in line with international standards. Despite the internal and
external challenges faced by the revolutionary people and the
opposition forces, they remain steadfast in rejecting any partial
solutions or deceptive attempts to evade true progress—especially
given the notorious betrayal and dishonesty of the tyrant Hamad, who
is known for reneging on his promises to the opposition, notably after
securing the approval of the National Action Charter in February
2002. At the same time, he pursued a policy of naturalization,
tampered with the demographic composition, and continued the
ongoing cultural genocide project against the existence of our people
and their authentic identity.
3- The Bahraini revolution has embodied ethical and humanitarian
traditions, rooted in the authenticity and legitimacy of its demands.
This was evident in its unwavering and timely support for the
resistance in Gaza and Lebanon, providing backing through all
possible means, regardless of the high cost. Our people have
demonstrated this commitment with steadfastness and faith during
various stages of the struggle against Zionism, most recently during
the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation and the genocidal war on Gaza and
Lebanon. The people have maintained a constant presence in
solidarity with the Palestinian, Lebanese, and Arab resistance, while
firmly opposing normalization and the establishment of the enemy’s
embassy in Manama. The revolutionary youth and people of Bahrain
have fearlessly declared this stance, emphasizing their rejection of
any alliance hostile to the resistance and its supporters. This path has
continued even after the ceasefire announcements in Gaza and
Lebanon. Today, they share the joy of victory with our people in Gaza
and southern Lebanon over the Zionist genocidal war. The people of
southern Lebanon forced the occupation army to withdraw from most
of their towns; advancing toward the enemy’s tanks while raising the
flags of resistance and images of the nation’s most sacred martyr, the
honorable Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (may Allah’s peace be upon
him). This coincided with the victory of the people and resistance in
Gaza, where they succeeded in thwarting the mass displacement
plan. Gaza’s resistance affirmed its strength and resilience, shocking
the Zionists and their allies. Meanwhile, the people of Gaza displayed
an unprecedented level of resilience, flowing in a majestic human
wave back to their homes and areas despite the complete
destruction. The lesson delivered by the people of Gaza and southern
Lebanon will define the new phase, heralding the rise of free nations
and the resurgence of resistance, stronger than ever before. It marks
the collapse of the so-called “New Middle East” dreams and the
defeat of occupiers and tyrants.
4- The Political Council condemns the U.S. administration’s
reclassification of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement as a so-called
“terrorist organization.” We view this decision with great ridicule, as
the administration that represents the “Great Satan” and stands
behind all the killing and brutality endured by the region and the
peoples of the world for over sixty years is the greatest embodiment
of terrorism and criminality globally. Their latest crime is their full
involvement in orchestrating, funding, and arming the genocidal war
on Gaza and Lebanon. The heroes of Yemen, led by their triumphant
and steadfast leader, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, will not be
harmed by such futile decisions. They understand that the inability of
the Americans, Zionists, and their agent regimes to stop Yemen’s
unwavering support for Gaza and its resistance is what drives these
false and desperate decisions. However, the ultimate reckoning will
come when the criminal occupiers regret their actions and despair, as
Yemen completes its plans for defense and dignity, forcing the
American-Zionist alliance to pay the price for their aggression against
its land and people.
