A statement was issued by the Fakih Leader, Ayatollah Sheikh Issa
Qassim, on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the passing of “The
Eminent Cleric Sheikh Abdul Amir Al-Jamri (may Allah have mercy on
him)”, which reads as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
May peace and blessings be upon the most honorable of Prophets and
Messengers, Muhammad, and his pure and immaculate family.
The honorable and faithful brother, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Amir Al-
Jamri, was a paragon of struggle and perseverance, as attested by all who
observed his words and actions with fairness, whether near or far.
He struggled for a long time and engaged in arduous and costly efforts that
deprived him of physical comfort, exhausted his spirit, and caused him
numerous health problems and others.
He significantly contributed to stimulating the people’s mindset, awakening
their conscience, igniting their Islamic sense, and activating their reformist
and transformative will. He did his utmost, with all his effort, to help Bahrain
overcome its severe and destructive political crisis, as well as the multiple
and successive crises that followed.
And to unify its ranks in rejecting fanaticism and the divisions of ignorance,
and in establishing the pillars of justice and adhering to the path of truth,
aiming to save it from a miserable present and an even more grim, bleak,
and distressing future.
As for when official policy will recognize the value of this trustworthy and
sincere man, appreciate his devotion and loyalty to his religion, people,
nation, and community, and value his passionate and zealous reformist
outcry and that of others like him? It depends on the integrity of standards,
the justice of the scales, the clarity of vision, and the elevation of goals and
methods.
May Allah have mercy on our dear Sheikh ‘’Abu Jameel’’, grant him a
blessed resting place, and elevate his rank in the eternal paradise and
everlasting happiness.
