The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition issued
its weekly position, which reads as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We, in the Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition,
affirm everything stated in the decisive stance expressed last Friday by His
Eminence, the Fakih-leader Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim (may Allah
protect him), regarding the crime of preventing the grand Friday prayers in
Bahrain for over a month. He described it as an “unjust, foolish, idiotic and
utterly condemned war,” carried out by the Al-Khalifa regime on behalf of
the criminal Netanyahu. His Eminence pointed to the alignment of the Al-
Khalifa and Zionist projects in an unprecedented war on all religious and
human values. He emphasized that the religious persecution, targeting of
the existence and authentic history of the Bahraini people, along with
arrests and torture within prisons—which His Eminence described it as
graves—reflect the identical agendas of the Al-Khalifa regime and the
Zionists. These agendas are marked by their “vile” nature, hostility toward
indigenous peoples, and brutal practices of murder and genocide.
We, in the Political Council, believe that His Eminence’s delicate position
calls on all influential and opposition forces to work towards shaping public
political discourse and action based on the principles outlined in his
statement. This is particularly critical in this sensitive phase that Bahrain
and across the region are experiencing due to the escalation of Zionist-
American aggression.
In this context, we highlight the following points in this weekly position:
1- The statement issued by His Eminence, the Fakih-leader, is a
definitive declaration and clarification that what our people in Bahrain
have been subjected to for decades is a comprehensive war of
existential and cultural genocide. This war has gained additional
support and expansion through the alliance with Zionist aggression in
Gaza and Lebanon. We affirm that describing what has occurred and
continues to occur in Bahrain as “genocide” is not a rhetorical
expression or a figurative description aimed at exaggeration. Rather,
it is a factual characterization grounded in documented and
continuous evidence of crimes and violations committed by the Al-
Khalifa regime against the citizens, their history, and their culture.
This can be considered a fully comparable model to the Zionist
settler-colonial genocidal project, especially after the complete
normalization of relations between the Al-Khalifa and Zionist regimes
through the signing of the normalization agreements in 2020.
2- What is happening in Bahrain must be recognized as a “crime of
genocide” and translated into a clear political stance by opposition
forces. This requires the development of new political, media, and
diplomatic programs and activities both domestically and
internationally. We commend in this regard, the advanced level of
popular and national awareness in managing the political struggle
against the projects of tyranny and colonization. The American and
Zionist discomfort with the growing revolutionary spirit in Bahraini
society is evident, particularly among the youth who are committed to
the path of resistance, the doctrine of Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship
of the Jurist), and their steadfast role in defending Friday prayers in
Diraz, commemorating Hussaini rituals, and upholding religious
practices. The youth’s insistence on chanting courageous slogans
against the U.S. administration and the temporary Zionist entity
reflects a powerful image that deeply unsettles operatives in the
Zionist-American espionage den in Manama. They perceive the
Bahraini people’s commitment—religiously, humanely, and
strategically—to the axis of resistance and the unity of support across
fronts as a serious threat to the Zionist expansionist project in the
Gulf and the region, which they promote under the guise of a “New
Middle East.”
3- Our dear people in Bahrain continue their solidarity activities with
Palestine and Lebanon, supporting the honorable resistance against
the ongoing war of genocide, despite repression, persecution, and
security threats. We see that the suffering endured by political
prisoners in the Al-Khalifa regime’s graves ‘’prisons’’ is part of a
strategy of blackmail and retaliation against our people and the
families of the prisoners, particularly those sentenced to death. The
Al-Khalifa regime mistakenly believes that this will break the people’s
will and pressure families to push the free prisoners into surrendering
and abandoning the path of February 14 Revolution. However, the
regime’s hopes have been dashed by the legendary resilience of our
people and the steadfastness of the captive prisoners, who continue
to march together on the path of freedom, sovereignty, and
resistance and their commitment to the leadership and guidance of
Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, striving toward the realization of their
goals: the establishment of a just state based on a modern
constitution written by the Bahraini people themselves.
4- We denounce the blatant and repeated propaganda of the Al-Khalifa
regime on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance. We
affirm that attempts to whitewash their violations will not deceive our
people or the free world. The Al-Khalifa regime remains a detestable
example of religious persecution, sowing discord, and promoting
hatred and sectarian and racial discrimination. This grim reality
affects all citizens—both Sunni and Shia—as cries of suffering echo
from all segments of society due to discriminatory policies,
naturalization schemes, and corruption. These policies allow the Al-
Khalifa family to monopolize the nation’s wealth and high-ranking
positions without accountability, at the expense of the citizens’
security, freedom, decent living, and dream of equal citizenship. The
Al-Khalifa regime has undermined justice and social peace by
establishing a deeply entrenched system within state institutions
based on systematic discrimination and hostility toward anything
connected to the identity and history of the indigenous population.
Under the rule of the tyrant Hamad in particular, our nation has faced
the threat of the extinction of tolerance values and the absence of all
forms of justice, religious freedoms, and fundamental human rights.
5- We express our complete and absolute disavowal of everything the
tyrant Hamad says and represents in his dubious relationship with
British colonialism and all arrogant powers. We see the recent
granting of the so-called “Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian
Order” to the tyrant as further evidence that the regime of this criminal
tyrant is a complete creation of the British occupiers. It serves as a
high-level British reward for his submissive words and servile
positions, which he consistently proclaims in service of British policies
and in shameful compliance with the return of direct military
colonialism to Bahrain, exemplified by the establishment of a British
military base in the country. The tyrant Hamad chose to travel to
Britain and offer his obedience to its administration, avoiding
attendance at the recent Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh. Instead, he
sent the Deputy Prime Minister, thus evading condemnation of the
genocides in Gaza and Lebanon and sidestepping calls by some
heads of delegations to exert pressure on the Zionist enemy by
canceling normalization agreements and shutting down espionage
dens masquerading as embassies. The tyrant has cemented his
disgraceful role as a servant to all oppressors and murderers,
becoming a stain that does not represent our people. Our nation will
not cease its efforts to remove this disgrace by overthrowing him and
prosecuting him for his crimes against our people and the peoples of
our Arab and Islamic nations.
