The Bahraini popular campaign “Palestine and Lebanon Are My Cause”
was launched on Saturday, October 26, 2024, and continued throughout
the week until November 1. During this period, a series of events and
programs were held, including devotional evenings, raising the banners of
martyr leaders, an electronic tweeting campaign, a political seminar, a
spiritual program at the tomb of the Martyr of al-Quds, and various forms of
popular solidarity movements.
On Sunday, October 27, 2024: – The February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition issued a statement
expressing its full support for the popular campaign, which reflects
the profound solidarity of the Bahraini people with the Lebanese and
Palestinian peoples, and their backing in their ongoing struggle and
resistance against the Zionist enemy. – It stated that the Palestinian cause is the core of the Arab, Islamic,
and faith-based struggle against the Zionist enemy. It is the central
cause that requires everyone to stand united in support of the rights
of the oppressed Palestinian people and their full sovereignty over
their lands from the river to the sea, affirming its solidarity at the same
time with the front of support and dignity alongside the Resistance in
Lebanon. – The free women of Bahrain organized a devotional evening as part of
the popular campaign “Palestine and Lebanon Are My Cause.” The
event featured a solidarity program that included speeches by
Bahraini free women, representatives of the Women’s Committee of
the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition, and an exhibition
showcasing images of martyr leaders along with art pieces inspired
by the occasion.
The free women of Bahrain emphasized in their speeches that
Palestine is the Qibla of Muslims and militants, embodying the
essence of the struggle of the free (al-Ahrar) who defend the sanctity
of religion and the nation. They noted that proud Gaza is currently
experiencing a systematic genocide war, which requires the people of
Bahrain to take a stand of dignity, elevate the word of truth above that
of falsehood, and affirm their solidarity with the people of Palestine
and Lebanon, who have consistently been a strong front supporting
Palestine, offering martyrs and immense sacrifices. – The Women’s Committee of the February 14 Coalition, for its part,
affirmed that the people of Bahrain and the peoples of Palestine and
Lebanon are one heart, one blood, one pain, and one battlefield of
struggle and one victory.
On Monday, October 28, 2024: – The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition,
in its weekly position, affirmed the core objectives of the popular
campaign “Palestine and Lebanon Are My Cause,” particularly
regarding the importance of the faith-based and moral connection,
and emphasizing solidarity with the suffering of the peoples of
Palestine and Lebanon and their heroism. – It noted that this campaign aligns with the long-standing principled
struggle of the Bahraini people against normalization and imperialist
projects, reflecting their insistence on disengagement from the agent
official policies. steadfastly supporting the honorable resistance and
belonging to its just liberation project, despite the threats and
campaigns of repression and persecution faced, including the
suppression of demonstrations, imprisonment, the closure of
mosques, and the prohibition of religious rituals.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 29 and 30, 2024: – A tweeting campaign using the hashtag
“#Palestine_and_Lebanon_Are_My_Cause” emphasized the need to
stand in solidarity with the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples who are
facing oppression and Zionist occupation. – The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition
held a panel discussion as part of the “Palestine and Lebanon Are My
Cause” campaign, and reaffirming its opposition to normalization and
its stance against the ‘’Israeli Middle East’’ project. This panel
discussion titled “From Bahrain to Palestine and Lebanon … A
Unified Front against the Zionist-American Genocide War”. This
event, which was part of their political program “Bahrain Talks,”
hosted His Eminence Sayyed Mourtada al-Sanadi, a leader in the
Islamic Wafa Movement, and Bahraini opposition figure Mr. Ali al-
Fayez, along with an intervention by Dr. Ibrahim al-Damstani, the
father of the martyr Ali al-Damstani and moderated by Dr. Ibrahim
al-Aradi, the director of the Political Bureau of the February 14
Coalition in Beirut.
On Friday, November 1, 2024: – The families, along with several fathers of martyrs and activists, held
a spiritual program at the tomb of the Martyr of al-Quds, Muhammad
al-Shakhouri, as part of the popular campaign “Palestine and
Lebanon Are My Cause.” – They dedicated a Quranic recitation in his honor and adorned his
blessed tomb with flowers and images of him, along with images of
martyr Mouzahim al-Shatter, who was martyred in South Lebanon in
1982 while resisting the Zionists. – Throughout the entire week of the campaign, Bahrain witnessed
diverse activities, as the walls of several towns were adorned with
slogans expressing solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon, along with
images of martyr leaders. Additionally, there were marches and
solidarity vigils in support of the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon,
as well as revolutionary gatherings and road blockades. – The popular campaign extended beyond Bahrain to the Islamic
Republic of Iran, where banners of the campaign were raised in the
shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah (AS) in Qom and at Jamkaran
Mosque. Additionally, images of the leader, the Fakih, Ayatollah
Sheikh Issa Qassim, were also displayed in the southern suburbs
(al-Dahieh) as part of the campaign.
