The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth
Coalition issued the weekly position, which reads as follows:
In the name of Allah, the most Gracious the most Merciful
The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth
Coalition condemns the attacks by the khalifees mercenary forces
on the sit-in of the families of political prisoners in front of the
central Jaw Prison in Bahrain, and placed them within the
framework of the return of political practices to the public view
alongside with the processes of confusion, repression, arrest, and
summoning of activists and the families of prisoners to
Investigation Departments and Security Offices, which confirms
the invalidity of the propaganda and plays promoted by platforms
affiliated with the Khalifi entity and its secret services, especially
after last Eid al-Fitr’s releases. The purpose was to elevate
expectations and push citizens to cling to some illusions, including
the lie that the Khalifi entity is heading towards ‘’reform’’ and is
about to change its authoritarian and security structure.
In this regard, we note that the general public awareness and the
wise and courageous performance of the freedmen have directly
contributed to exposing these propagandas and neutralizing their
effects on the ground. This has led to the disruption of alternative
security plans being prepared by the regime and its Western
supporters.
In this context, the weekly council records the following positions:
1- We call for a reconsideration of the nature of the security
doctrine of the Khalifi entity, not considering it just limited
security tactics or temporary procedures taken only to
control protests and opposing crowds. We view this doctrine
as an integral part of the entity’s structure and its unnatural
existence, as it is an occupying settler entity in Bahrain,
guilty since the moment of its invasion of the country against
the rights of the people and their material and symbolic
existence. It is also a functional entity subordinate to regional
and international foreign policies and interests, thereby
committing further crimes by turning the country into an open
arena for external ambitions, and exposing its original
inhabitants and citizens to the risks of engagement in
aggressive coalitions.
2- Based on this, all the speeches and policies issued by the
Khalifi entity, under all circumstances and stages the country
goes through, are reflections of its security nature and its
sectarian and tribal identity, disregarding some apparent
partial improvements made to its speeches and its public
policies at times, it remains closely tied to that existing
nature based on its opposition to the authentic people of
Bahrain, by its existence, doctrine, and history. From this
perspective, we call for drawing visions and opposition
strategies based on this framework, setting goals and
appropriate means accordingly, to avoid falling into the
vortex of reactions and being influenced by superficial
variables ruled by the needs of the Khalifi entity and the
perpetuation of its corruption, tyranny, and extensive
betrayals.
3- At the internal level, we urge for all efforts and endeavours to
earnestly engage with the popular movement in all its forms
and arenas. This requires opposition forces, activists, social
and national actors, and platforms to work collectively and
proportionally in order to build a system that interacts with
the local movement, taking on the tasks of unity on one hand
and integration on the other. Unity with the movement
means providing all the requirements for its continuity and
strengthening, protecting it from disruptions or infiltrations,
while integration with it requires filling any media or field
void, providing comprehensive political support, completing
the protest cycle, connecting departments together,
deepening central political rights (a fair constitutional state),
and accumulating sacrifices, sincere efforts, and the history
of national struggle.
4- As the Arab Summit in Manama approaches in the middle of
this month, and amidst the ongoing Zionist-American
aggression on Gaza and its brave people, we call for
vigilance against the public relations campaign that the
Khalifi entity will undertake in the coming days. Its aim is to
pass the summit in a calm atmosphere that serves
government propaganda and hides its shame in normalizing
relations with the Zionist and American evil circles. The
Summit will be an opportunity to raise the voice of the people
to the ears of the Arab rulers and their governments, and to
elevate their banner and choice for freedom, liberation, and
justice, internally and externally. On this occasion, we call on
all national and opposition forces to organize a broad
national and popular program under the slogan ‘’Bahrain and
Palestine… are standing with the resistance and against
normalization’’, to reaffirm the unequivocal stance in support
of the valiant Palestinian resistance in achieving its field and
political goals, foremost among them an immediate
cessation of aggression and Zionist genocide war, and to
commend the qualitative development of support fronts
within the axis of honourable resistance.
