The Feminist Committee of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition issued a statement on the occasion of ‘’Mother’s Day’’, which reads as follows:
In the Name of Allah, The Merciful
For twelve years, the Bahraini mother had not succumbed or break in front of all that she has endured from the separation of her children, their alienation, their martyrdom and their arrest. But rather, did not weaken even by her arrest and targeting because of her honourable positions.
Our dear Bahraini mothers have become role models in struggle, patience and steadfastness embodying the highest forms of proud, pride, and loftiness, until each mother merited the title of ‘’The Lofty Mother’’.
Today, as the world celebrates mothers in honour of their immeasurable contributions and sacrifices, we, in Bahrain, celebrate the mothers of martyrs, detainees, persecutors and expatriates, thus, we pay our respectful homage to a mother who paid the price for her humanity and her maternal role, so she was arrested and deprived of her liberty and freedom which is the free ‘’Mrs. Fadila AbdulRasul’’, so we renew our call to spread her grievance and turn her case into a public opinion issue until she obtains freedom, strengthened and honoured.
On the occasion of ‘’Mother’s Day’’, We, in the Feminist Committee of the February 14 Coalition, congratulate and bless all mothers in the world, especially our struggling mothers in occupied Palestine and Bahrain.
