Observers believe that the so-called Council of Representatives is busy with many minor things, while neglects the most important ones, of which are the issues of citizens. The current Council, like other previous ones, did not accomplish what is required, as an alleged legislative authority, especially that the country faces crisis at all levels , which imposes further duties on the Council.
The Council’s achievements report was issued and was full of visits by local, Gulf and Arab delegations that received by the so-called “Speaker of the Council”, while failed to pass laws in the interests of citizens. The Council formed a committee of inquiry in Bahrain, which supported the employment of 274 Saudi teachers, and ended its session by agreeing to reduce its mandate.
There are those who say that the Council is restricted and ruled by the tyrant Hamad and the ruling family, and therefore does not decide except what harmonizes their policy, and others believe that the main problem lies in the electoral process that produces such councils that do not represent people. Accordingly, people boycotted the elections, and those who read the reports of achievements issued by the Council see that they are imaginary achievements, most of which do not concern the citizen or even the country
