On the evening of Thursday, January 9, 2020, the Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassem held a memorial service for the two martyrs Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and their companions, in the Bahraini Husseiniya “mosque” of Imam Reza “p” in Qom .
The council witnessed a large presence of Islamic, Arab and scientific elites and activists, as well as members of the Bahraini community.
His Eminence issued a statement on Friday, January 3, 2020 regarding the heinous U.S. aggression of the assassination of the great jihadist leaders Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, in which he offered his condolences to His Eminence, Mr. Khamenei, and the Islamic nation.
H.E also participated in the historic funeral after the arrival of the immaculate bodies in the holy city of Qom on Monday, January 6, 2020.
He gave a farewell look at the two martyrs, and addressed the gathering of the renewal of the covenant with the martyr Qassem Soleimani, which was held by the Resistance Youth Committee in Qom on Saturday, January 4, 2020.
