The prisoners of conscience are protesting the poor conditions they suffer in Al-Khalifa prisons by various means, particularly the hunger strike.
In this context, the activist, Ali Al-Haji, is still on hunger strike for more than 22 days, demanding his right to treatment, and to meet his family without a glass ceiling, in particular that he had not met his child and his family since February 2017.
The detainee, Osama Al-Saghir, is on hunger strike too for more than 12 days, demanding a special visit for his mother, after he declined to go out during a family’s visit voluntarily because there were a big pressure and humiliating inspection, which is not good for his mother, who is sick with heart. He confirmed that he had been applied for a special family visit since 10 months ago, but it was not approved. He also asked a quilt from the outside, as he has many fission bullet fragments his body after being wounded in the field of redemption, which caused him severe pain in cold.
Meanwhile, the prisoner, Khalil al-Saffar is still deprived of the right of appropriate treatment and medication, as he suffers from severe pain in the head, and visual impairment.
The other prisoner, Syed Ali Salman, said in an audio recording that he urgently needs medical care and appropriate treatment. He suffers from a severe hearing impairment in one ear, hemorrhoids, skin sensitivity and dental pain caused by breakage, and other diseases, which are banned to be treated in Al-Khalifa hospitals.
