On Friday, September 6, 2019, the residents held individual prayers at Imam Sadiq Mosque in the town of Diraz, after the decision of al-Khalifa regime to prevent the largest Friday prayer for the 176th consecutive week.
This comes in the fight against the rituals of religion at a time when the regime shows its tolerance with religion in the international forums to cover up its rush towards normalization with the Zionist entity. It intends to attack Ashura manifestations and removing Hussein’s banners and targeting preachers and pioneers by summoning them and interrogate them.
It is noteworthy that the regime has repeatedly prevented the Head of the Islamic Council, Mr. Majid Al-Meshaal, from leading the worshipers at Imam Sadiq Mosque (p) in Diraz area, by forcing him to sign a written pledge that he won’t deliver religious sermons anymore during his interrogation at Hamad Town police station on Friday, June 7, 2019. The sectarian entity claimed that there was a ban by the so-called Jaafari Endowments Department, as well as another ban by the Ministry of Interior.
