On July 27, 2019, the criminal al-Khalifa entity executed the death sentence against the two victims of torture, Ali al-Arab and Ahmad al-Mullai, by firing squad.
The suspects were tried after the escape of 10 prisoners of conscience from Joe prison on January 1, 2017, including the martyr Rida al-Ghasra and his companions, which resulted in the death of one of the mercenary egent of the prison guard force. The prosecution charged them with malicious charges including “the formation of a terrorist group, the deliberate murder of a police officers, the possession and use of explosives, the flight after arrest, the assistance of convicted prisoners and the hiding of defendants sentenced to a deprivation of liberty.”
On January 31, 2018, the illegal Supreme Court issued death sentences against al- Arab and al-Mullai and life imprisonment for 19 citizens, 15 years imprisonment for 17 citizens, 10 years imprisonment for 9 prisoners, 5 years for 11others, acquittal of 2 of them and the revocation of the citizenship of 47 citizens in this case,which was supported by the Court of Appeal in January 2019.
Meanwhile, the Court of Cassation rejected on Monday, May 6, 2019 two appeals filed by the two martyrs, in support of their death sentence. Al-Khalifa regime summoned their families on Friday (July 26th) to carry out the unjust sentence at dawn today.
