A number of prisoners of conscience from Newidrat town have released after seven years of imprisonment on political charges.
On Thursday, June 27, 2019, the residents of the town received Abdullah Rabi, Ali Nasser, and the brothers Faysal and Ali al-Barbouri.
It is noteworthy that Al-Khalifa’s prisons have more than 4000 prisoners of conscience, who were imprisoned and tried in courts lacking legitimacy on the backdrop of political and malicious accusations. The provisions of some of the judgments have reached to death and life imprisonment, with the revocation of nationality through confessions extracted under torture.
