After more than 60-days of sit-in and 44-days of hunger strike outside al-Khalifa embassy in London, activist Ali Mushaima announced that he would stop his sit-in.
In a press conference on Tuesday, 2 October, Mushaima Jr. explained that he stopped his sit-in because he obtained promises from 15 MPs to adopt the case of his father; the arrested Professor Hassan Mushaima, which includes the right of treatment.
He added that his demonstration moved from a single demonstrator in the street to a demonstration under the dome of parliament, which has 15 MPs.
It is noting that the activist "Ali Mushaima" began an open sit-in in front of al-Khalifa embassy in London since 1 August 2018. He emphasized that his father did not receive his right to treatment, medicines, visits and he did not allowed to read after the confiscation of his books.
A large number of activists, jurists and members of the Arab and Islamic communities have joined Mushaima's sit-in, and it covered by media, especially as he suffered more than once for a health setback, one of which required transferring him to the hospital.
For two months, Mushaima has been harassed by the embassy staff, in addition to the change of weather conditions such as cold and rain.
