The residents of the town of al-Malikya have reacted to the unprecedented escalation of al-Khalifa regime against the revival of the Husseini rituals. The regime had sealed off the funeral procession Imam al-Ridha (p), detained its employees, launched a large-scale campaign of random arrests among the innocent youth of the village since days and imposed a security siege on the town for days.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, the residents said that they are facing a sectarian war and systematic persecution by this Baathist and Saddami regime, which has the behavior of enmity and hatred towards the religious rites and the desire of assault on the manifestations of Ashura.
They strongly condemned the regime's politicization of Ashura season by attacking its manifestations, arresting the Husseini preachers and speakers , imposing projections on their intentions in preparation for mock retaliation trials, summoning and arresting the managers of the Mamtam (Funerals processions ), directing unjust accusations to them and holding them with charges unrelated to them.
The entity had also forced the closure of Imam al-Ridha's funeral and Husseinyat (Shiite mosques ) , and obliged them under threat of guns to issue statements whose agenda was formulated by the authority itself to denounce the political movement, stressing that there is no legal value for any statements issued or issued under duress by the management of Mamtam and Husseinyat.
The people of al-Malikya condemned the recent arrests among the innocent youth, calling for an immediate release. They called on the regime to abandon the plays with repetitive and trivial scenarios that raise the ridicule of public opinion since the movement of the 50s to the present, wondering, "Is there any sane who believes that graffiti on earth requires external funding?"!!!
They also called upon all honorable people to deal with the decision to close the funeral of Imam al-Ridh (p) as a null. They stressed that the Jafari Endowment Administration does not have jurisdiction over the funeral processions. It is only an administrative body for implementing the matters of al-Awqaf (religious buildings) before it becomes a tool for the authority to carry out what dictates it without religious or moral justification.
They called on them to respond to this targeting of the rituals by adhering to them more and more, unifying the lines the of solidarity and vigilance in the face of this frenzied sectarian war. The alertness and vigilance of a sedition, the regime has planned to disrupt it among the people, explaining that (writing the name of the tyrant on the ground to become a tread came in response to the targeting of the manifestations of Ashura and the sabotage by its mercenaries).
The people concluded their statement as saying that" the regime had committed a folly without feeling, through closing the funeral procession and targeting the rituals. The mercy bullet was fired at its project, which is working day and night to push and persuade some Shiite figures to enter and participate in the upcoming phony parliamentary elections, and promising them with the possibility of influence and change, but who will believe any of this conviction after this foolish sectarianism and oppression?"
