Al-Khalifa entity has failed in its attempt to extradite a number of Bahrainis from the Iraqi government ,after extensive efforts and diplomatic attempts that has been made since more than a month by the regime .
The London –based , Alaraby Aljadeed newspaper has published on Wednesday 18 April 2018 ,a report by its correspondent in Baghdad confirming the failure of al-Khalifa efforts to retrieve 40 wanted Bahrainis accused of terrorist charges, according to al-Khalifa allegations, which is a big hit to it .
According to an Iraqi official in Baghdad ,the newspaper has revealed that all the diplomatic efforts made by al-Khalifa ministry of foreign affairs since the last month to extradite these wanted Bahrainis in Iraq have failed .It also confirmed that the failure came after a large opposition by the parties and prominent leaders of Alhashid Alsha'abi (popular mobilization forces ),who have threatened the PM of the Iraqi government Haider Alabadi from the consequences of extraditing the wanted individuals to Manama.
"Iraq will not extradite the wanted Bahrainis at the current time since they are refugees and live in the country according to an official request and al-Khalifa diplomatic efforts led by al-Khalifa foreign ministry and al-Khalifa ambassador to Baghdad Salah al-Maliki" ,an Iraqi minster told the newspaper .
Al-Khalifa ambassador to Baghdad (Salah al –Maliki )had announced in the last month of April that his country had submitted a list to the Iraqi ministry of interior that contains names of the wanted Bahrainis living in Iraq ,and wanted by the Interpol .In a statement to( al-Sabah ) ,the official Iraqi newspaper, al –Maliki has alleged that efforts are underway by the Iraqi ministry of interior to extradite them .
