The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth
Coalition extends congratulations to the freed detainees and their
resilient families, asserting their birthright to unconditional
freedom. It emphasizes that the release was a divine blessing (by
the grace of Allah almighty), coupled with the families’ endurance
and due to the steadfastness of the political prisoners and captive
leaders in their legendary resilience, who endured years of
physical and psychological torture, organized protests and strikes,
and gave a series of martyrs within the prisons, most recently the
martyr ‘’Hussein Khalil Al-Rami’’.
In its weekly statement on Monday, April 15, 2024, it believed that
the ‘’Eid releases’’ occurred against the backdrop of dangerous
developments at the regional level and the escalation of the
confrontation with the Zionist entity and its devilish American
alliance. This was not surprising in itself, as it occurred within the
security system established by the Khalifi entity in recent years in
cooperation with the British and Americans, especially in the
context of cooling down after political prisoners’ file became a
huge burden.
The Political Council of the February 14 Coalition drafted
‘’alternative sanctions law’’ and ‘’open prison system’’, along with
similar initiatives, into the system aimed at alleviating the human
rights and field pressures resulting from the deterioration of prison
conditions and families’ protests. These initiatives are viewed as
an attempt to hijack the most prominent files related to the human
rights, social and popular environmental realities nurturing the
revolution, stressing that the releases were partial and
inadequate, issued by the Khalifi regime under the influence of
domestic and external pressures stemming from its full alignment
with the Zionist-American axis, resulting in public discontent and
Bahrain’s involvement in confrontation with the resistance axis.
It stated that the freed prisoners have thwarted the goals set by
the Khalifi regime, forming a new alliance with the families of
other prisoners and activists. They transformed the release event
into a renewed spectacle of protest and advocacy for rights,
highlighting the liberated individuals’ chants in which they called
out the name of Palestine, and calling for death to America and
‘’Israel’’ upon exiting prison. They joined the protests in the streets
and in front of security centers, marking a significant turning point
that deepened the regime’s crisis and exacerbated its internal and
external situation.
The political council stressed the pivotal importance of the file of
the revolutionary leaders who are held as hostages, asserting that
they are fundamental to any political or human rights solution to
the country’s situation. Any break of this file will rebound on the
regime with disappointment and dire consequences, commending
the general public awareness that has transcended all of the
regime’s transparent policies and plans, calling on opposition
forces to take informed positions to complete the equation and
overthrow the oppressive and corrupt Khalifi regime.
It believed that the people’s resistance against the tyrant Hamad
has entered a new phase and saw that the escalating of the
popular mobilization, the fervent prison revolution, the ongoing
repercussions of the ‘’Al-Aqsa Flood’’ operation and the Iranian
response ‘’Al-Waed Al-Sadeq’’ deeply within the Zionist entity are
all unprecedented circumstances on all fronts and equivalent to
the unprecedented treachery of the ‘’Al Khalifa’’ and their
complete alignment with the American-Zionist project.
The Political Council pointed out that the Arab Summit is about to
be held in Bahrain on May, and before the Summit, the Khalifas
received advices from Saudi Arabia and the United States to ease
the overall situation ahead of it, which reinforces the cautious
stance towards recent releases, as well as the necessity to
continue the wise popular movement and to initiate a pressure
and sustained political and field program until the people achieve
their right to self-determination and the establishment of a just
